Day 17 - Our last day of travel in France was our trip from Nitry to Coquelles near Calais. A near 5 hour journey but part of that is on D roads with the majority on the autoroutes. We were diverted on to another D road at one point but it only added 10 minutes thankfully. Day 16 - Regrettably, we had to leave the Chateau de Vaulx and move on to our next stop at Auberge Beusarderie in Nitry. We took the more scenic route and avoided the autoroutes and the toll charges. Day 15 - Foggy! You can tell we are further north as we recognise weather we normally get back home. Our trip to the local vet was intersting. The person there, I thought was the vet, couldn;t speak much English at all. And our french was not great either. The end result was me on the computer looking up the English Eurotunnel Pet Passport site and translating it in Google Translate. All very comical. Day 14 - A gloomy start to the day followed the torrential rain and an amazing light show from the thunderstorms that passed through the region. Starting at about 11pm they went on till at least 3 or 4am, decreasing in strength overnight. Day 13 - Expecting rain we headed for Aurillac to find the old historical quarter. We had a walk around with the dogs but to be honest it was not particularly exciting or interesting.
