Day 7 - I started the day with a short 5km run before it got too hot. I can't understand these runners we see out at midday or later; you would have to be mad to run in the blazing heat of the day. After breakfast we set off for Rustrel and the Colorado Provencale.
With a choice of three trails from short to rather long we planned to do the short one. However, unwittingly we took the middle length one and only realised when we'd were half way round. Never mind, the view from the vantage points was great but the next part was all open ground and it was getting hot. Thankfully we eventually reached shade again and headed into the shade of the wooded areas.
We finally made it to the Little Sahara where I took plenty of photos, which was really great. The colours were fantastic. So glad we came early as there was not too many people around.
When we arrived back at the car park there were at least 30 other cars that had arrived. A popular attraction.
