Today the boys went to the cricket club (in hideously gusty conditions) to see NLCC 1sts win and the 2nds tie.
I, on the other hand, took the opportunity to go down to Oxford Street to get a dress for the wedding. After 4hrs, came up short. Very disappointing :( thankfully I still have 3 weeks to find something.
Absolute highlight of my day though was catching up with Pete. It's been a couple of years since he's been home but he looked great. We had a very quick lunch at a French cafe in Mayfair and then dashed up to the Four Seasons where he had to start work.
I was treated like any other 5 star guest and given a personal tour (by Pete) around the hotel. It was beautiful. The room he showed me goes for about £4000/night. The presidential suite is a lazy £11,800/night! They're even selling a cocktail in the bar with a diamond ring on the side for £10,000...
He also showed me all of the communications stuff he now looks after (which is a whole new field for him) - very high tech. Then it was time to leave so he and the concierge organised a town car to drop me up to Marble Arch - it was none other than a Rolls Royce! It was my Gossip Girl moment, I felt like Blair only in my denim jeans and a £9 London jubilee bag... (I'm sure the driver had no idea I wasn't a guest, until I couldn't figure out how to open the door!)...
