In an attempt to carbon neutralise the event, the following morning we had a tree planting ceremony to plant 1000 trees in the formation of the Fibonacci spiral. Everyone wrote their pledge to the Earth on a piece of elephant dung paper with eco-charcoal pencils and then put it in the ground when they planted their tree. The kids from the local school gave a performance and everyone quite happily got involved in planting trees (the holes had been pre-dug!). In the afternoon the artists and the GMF team went to Makena’s Hills lodge and had a nice evening of music etc.
