The 2nd week of camp is over. It's sad to see another group go, particularly when they have just began to get comfortable with us. Josh, a severely autistic guy who never speaks now holds people's hands and we have just got to grips with using American Sign Language go communicate with him (very different to British sign language). Scott who is always happy to please anyone but never speaks said thank you to us yesterday and jungha, who says very little, sang firework by Katy Perry on stage and tried to kiss one of the councillors on the cheek. It's amazing to see them open up over the week although again we are ready for the break!
I've just finished my archery training so I am now qualified to teach groups to do archery. It was a pretty boring day and took some adjusting to sit in a classroom type setting again, something I'll have to get used to again for September! We are going to Manchester (Connecticut - they stole all of our city names, there is even a Derby!!) today to see Jurassic world and to explore the city. It's supposed to rain all weekend (it's like being back in the UK!) so the fireworks may be cancelled - fingers crossed they won't! Camp starts again on Sunday for developmentally disabled people but this time it will last 10 days so it will be hard work and we will be needing the couple of days off as will get at the end!

Alice Wilson Sounds amazing! I cannot believe they've stolen all of our city names! Hope the fireworks don't get cancelled! It's actually been fairly pleasant in Derby over the past few days but it never lasts long does it?! Also, quick update on Alice's alcohol adventures - I tried a lemon thing and didn't like it. We need to go out when you're back so you can teach me lol! Keep having an awesome time! Xx
