40/12.
Parallel Universe.
It's been hot, wet and sticky here. It is somewhere between Changma (rainy season) and the hot, hot summer. Unpleasant. Air conditioning essential, at the expense of the Earth. I have reached the giddy heights of 40 weeks, with only 12 to go, although at one point it looked as if I was being offered the chance of an early departure. I am avoiding making any rash decision on my future, because there is still lots of time. I do, know, however, that a return to the UK anytime in August does not fit with my pre-determined plan to get through to week 52. There are a few things can make up my mind, and these factors will become apparent over the next few weeks or so. By the time I depart for Japan, I may have a clearer picture.
I have hooked up with a Korean girl, from the study group, in order to learn the language better, whilst Garry has lost his private teacher and is on the lookout for "a new best friend". I try to study and to do my homework like a good boy, but sometimes the weather conditions make me feel very lazy. It is summer school soon, and that will mean more lessons for us all.
We had the sudden departure of a member of staff, Mi-ja (teacher dressed in yellow on the Market Day Video) on Friday and her replacement has already been drafted in... or maybe it is a regeneration... the 7th in 8 months. I was sad about her going, but she is off to train to be a public school teacher.
With the culmination of Doctor Who this week, I have been continuing in my own parallel universe here, with another run through of 'Little Red Riding Hood', which has forged a wedge into my memory, with the phrase ''Bad Wolf! Bad Wolf! Big Bad Wolf!" not so much a signal of impending doom, but more a case of George overacting again... I keep repeating the line from (old-school, posh 50s English comedienne and actress) Joyce Grenfell's Nursery School - "George, don't do that!"

I have just seen the final episode of Doctor Who, and what an amazing climax... despite the initial anti-climax of there not being a regeneration after all... can you have a climax AFTER an anti-climax? - I am not sure. Great writing, although it all seemed a bit rushed and contrived. Funny and Memorable.
I am starting to sweat just sitting here in front of the laptop, which suggests the humidity is going to be high again today. I don't like it.
Off to Gimhae today... a neighbouring city which I have visited very little. Going to investigate with respect to possibly working there, check it out, see what is there, and whether it is somewhere that I want to live.
Thinking about you.
