Nic & Dougie's Big Aussie Adventure
Our last day on Hinchinbrook Island was slow paced given that we weren't due to be picked up by ferry until 5pm, and only two hours of hiking remained until we reached George's Point, our final destination.
Time was spent lulling about Mulligan's Beach and soaking up plenty of sunshine since the final 5km involved trecking along the beach.
As it neared time for the ferry to arrive, other hikers gathered also. It was great to hear stories of their hiking experience and just to engage in general chit chat with someone other than ourselves.
Upon return to the mainland, it was back to the caravan park to revel in a few of life's simple pleasures - a shower, a meal consisting of meat and three veg, and a sleep on a mattress. Hmm.... So good!
