Today was our last day at Deepwater National Park. Dougie & I spent the morning in search of Deepwater Creek and were disappointed to find that it was a long, narrow, swamp-like creek with many low lying branches and snags, making it unsuitable for kayaking. It felt like the kind of place you'de expect to see a yowie!
Instead, we headed into 1770 for lunch & spent the afternoon fishing on the beach back at the camp. I caught a little bream, but that was it.
We returned back to camp on dark & started packing up in preparation for our departure tomorrow.
We leave Agnes Water/1770 feeling that our time has been well spent. There's definitely plenty more to explore should we return again - I think Eurimbula National Park would be worth a visit, as would Lady Musgrave Island.
