Today was a magical day spent on the water kayaking at 1770. The kayaks were in at 9am and weren't packed up until 4pm - a beautiful day with the sun shining and the fish biting! The daytime temperatures are really warm whilst nights are a little cool - perfect for the campfire.
We paddled and fished within Red Rock Creek. I beat Dougie with the fish tally today, landing 7 to 3. Yehoo! Little victories = )
The day was topped off with an afternoon beer at 1770's "Tree Bar" - it's the perfect location for viewing the sun setting over the water - really pretty!
We headed back to camp where we enjoyed ham, cheese & tomato jaffles for dinner.
Just in case we hadn't packed enough into the day already, we decided to head to the beach at Flat Rock equipped with a handspear & a torch in search of crayfish. No crayfish were spotted but the water was crystal clear which meant we enjoyed spotting a variety of other little fish, none big enough to spear though.
It's now into bed to dream about tomorrow's adventures!
