Today was our first day where no jobs needed doing and no driving was to be done..... The greatest feeling ever!
We rose early with excitement and drove to Round Hill Head at 1770 to watch the sunrise over the ocean. We were equipped with a thermos of tea which was enjoyed whilst admiring the spectacular view - a great start to the day.
Dougie & I then set out to explore the area for campsites. We came across Middle Rock Campsite within Deepwater National Park which proved to be perfect - located right on the ocean and only a 20 minute drive from 1770. It is accessible only by 4WD threfore had very few campers as opposed to the town which was highly populated with backpackers.
We managed to set up camp by 1pm - the first time we'd managed to set up camp in daylight.... Yay! So much easier.
We spent the afternoon down at the beach which was a 100m walk from the campsite and was a large stretch of sand which we had exclusively to ourselves! Hmmm.... There's nothing more a gal needs in life..... Oh, except maybe a hair straightener, a washing machine, and my Mum = )
