We waved goodbye to Mum in Gundy at 5.30am thismorning bound for Brissie. It was a freezing cold morning so Buddy enjoyed riding in the front with us which gave me an opportunity for some last minute cuddles. We delivered Bud to Anne-Marie & Liam at Ashgrove and lingered there for much longer than was probably appropriate. A few little tears later we continued on our way.
Unfortunately Trace wasn't in town to visit however we travelled to South Bank and caught up with Dan & Celina and met little Jacob.... I even had a cuddle! He's very cute.
It was late by the time we left Brissie which made searching for a campsite a little difficult. It's all good.... Dougie and I are friends again now = ) We ended up at Coochin Creek Campsite which is nestled in a state forest nearby the Glasshouse Mountains. The 8km drive into the campsite from the highway was really eerie in the dark which was made worse by Dougie bringing up the story of Ivan Milat! We were very pleased to arrive at the campground and see that 4 other camp groups were within close vicinity. Phew!
After setting up camp it was tinned stew and a beer for dinner before settling in for the night to dream about the many adventures ahead.
