Hello everyone! I just finished lunch which is a recipe I stole from my mom. Sauteed spinach, onions, chick peas and garlic over potatoes with cheese. A little taste of home :)
Here are all the juicy Ireland details:
I love Ireland. The people are much nicer/ more friendly then they are in England. The Belfast accent was mad heavy but I got used to it. Hannah and I spent our first day in Belfast. Of course it was raining but it wasn't too bad. We took a bus tour of the area and got to see all of the historic areas and murals. Our hostel was right across from Queen's University so we also explored that area. We went to a pub for lunch where I got a cheese burger. I heard Irish meat was amazing and I wanted to try it. It was good but I honestly don't miss meat. We met some people in our hostel and went out that night. It was Thursday and they were treating it like it was Halloween! There were crazy costumes and everything.
The next day we took the bus to Derry for the Halloween festivities for two days. The parade was absolutely amazing and the fireworks were the best I've ever seen. Even better than Disney World and DC combined. Definitely worth the experience.
So Belfast on the last day was kind of like a relaxed day. We caught up with some awesome people we met on Thursday night. Turns out they're both originally not from Ireland and studied abroad in America. They're both trying to go back to the states. I was really glad we met them :)
We met some guys from Connecticut, one who did his undergrad at UMD, in our hostel that night. It was nice to talk to Americans from the East Coast. It was refreshing, haha.
So yes Ireland was absolutely amazing. I'm going back again before I leave England to visit Dublin and Galway. That should be equally amazing.
Now it's time to catch up on life before London this weekend.
