So I ended up being too cheap to buy lunch the other day. Do not fret, my dear fans! I did make curry for dinner that day using one of those jarred sauces. It was delicious. I put fresh green beans, a little onion, mushrooms, and kidney beans all on top of rice. YUM! It's going to last me practically the whole week! I also found a new way to eat that nasty original flavor oatmeal (primarily because I ran out of sugar). I've got some fat-free vanilla yogurt so I put that on top and it's good!
Anyway, I didn't mail those cards but I will tomorrow because I'll need something to get me out of my room. It also took me a while to get all the addresses, haha. I'm very much anticipating my trip to Gloucester Cathedral this weekend! For those of you who don't know, this is where the Harry Potter series filmed scenes for Hogwarts. I am beyond excited because I'm a nerd. I will be doing all of the tours within and outside of the walls including one of the herb garden.
I also plan on splurging and going out to eat while I'm there (I'll take pictures). There's a waterway museum I'm going to visit and if I can find a way to get to the city farm, I'll be doing that as well. I really miss animals and pigeons don't count!
My camera and battery charger are here so I will be able to take pictures, thank God. I think I would have cried if I wasn't able to take pictures of something Harry Potter related, haha. On another nerd related note, I've started reading Ender's Game in efforts to keep myself occupied and distracted. It is my favorite book (sorry Harry!).
On a less or equally nerdy note (you decide), I talked to the station manager for DemonFM about my show idea and I'm attending a meeting to initiate the idea on Tuesday. It will most likely be between the hours of 12pm and 2pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays (since I don't have class). I'll keep you updated about that but they're currently electing new officers and so I won't be able to launch the show for about 2 weeks. Progress has been made!
In quite pleasant news, it looks like I've landed an internship for the spring semester under a firm called Neustadt Creative Marketing. They are the recent producers of College.Be. (the new UMBC social networking site) and the newest UMBC publication for prospective students. Basically, they proved prospectives on marketing and advertising for schools in order to cope with consumer needs I just need to iron out some details but it's been approved on the UMBC side of things. One step closer to graduation and a foot in the door towards the real world. Success is sweet.
