G'day (I had to throw that in there at sometime)
It's NOVEMBER!!!! I can't believe it. Well, the past two weeks have been kind of crazy. Last week was my last week of classes, so all I have left are exams and papers. I have exams up until the day before I leave (on the 21st) which is kind of lame, but at least my tests are all spread out so it keeps me from getting too overwhelmed since my exams are worth 70-80% of my final grade...gross.
I haven't done too many fun things lately. Last weekend Karri and her friend Maggie from home that was visiting Melbourne (she was studying in New Zealand for the semester) went to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. The gardens were stunning and huge...we walked around for about 2 and a half hours and probably only saw about 1/4 of them. We also saw 4 weddings going on!!!...it would be the perfect place, and I saw some really cute bridesmaid dresses, even though I know Meghan already picked them out...
Also over the weekend, I felt like procrastinating so I went on a little adventure and took a bunch of pictures around campus and around where I live. I should have taken them a little earlier when everything was still green, but because of the drought everything is a little yellow. Oh, and when I was taking pictures a bride was taking some of her pictures in front of old quad on campus. I must have a 6th wedding sense or something since I seem to always run into wedding stuff...
My least favorite holiday in the whole world happened this weekend...spring daylight savings time. I have to lose an hour 3 times in a row, since I lost it last spring, now Austtralian spring and then next spring at home. That is just mean. Plus, now the time at home is 16 hours different and next week it will be 17...that is just confusing.
I'm trying to think if anything else interesting happened this week, but I am really drawing a blank. I have practically barricaded myself in the library, and ever since I saw the streakers in the lib in August, nothing too exciting has ever happened there.
Nothing too exciting planned for the weekend. We have our last official (which means Liz and Luke pay for the tab...yes!!!) IES dinner on Friday, so that should be fun...and sad. We are going bowling...uh oh. I am the worst bowler in the history of bowling alleys. My high score is 65, and I'm not underexagerating. I guess on the positive side, I have a lot of room to imporove!!!
Oh, random fact. I am deathly afraid of bats. THere are the largest and scariest bats I have ever encountered in my life inhabiting the Melbourne campus. THey hide in the trees and wait for you to walk by and then make the scariest noise known to man. THat is one thing I will not miss about Melbourne.
Alrighty, back to my paper. Hope everyone is having a good week!!!
