Well, I'm finally getting settled in at the apartment, and my life is going to get a lot less interesting in about a week when classes begin. I found out today that the only class that I needed to take here is not being offered this semester which was kinda disappointing, but it gives me the opportunity to take Animal Physiology instead, so that will be fun at least.
This whole week I have the academic orientation, but there is only about one or two 1 hour sessions a day, so I have been taking the extra time to catch up on my Australian TV. I also went to the clubs and societies festival and decided to join the Scandanavian Club...I felt like going back to my Lutheran roots. I also am seriously thinking about taking latin dance classes.
I wasn't aware before coming here that Australia is experiencing an 8 year drought, but you wouldn't know that from visiting since it has rained almost everyday. And little known fact, the past two days have been the coldest consecutive days in the last 9 years. Oh well, I guess things can only go up from here...hopefully :)
I downloaded Skype yesterday since everyone in IES has insisted that I get it, and they were all right...it is great. So if you want to call me, that would be the best option.
I will still try to update once in awhile. In the next few weeks I am planning to go to Philips Island, a weekend trip on the Great Ocean Road and Tasmania, so I will be sure to write an entry and add tons of pics from those trips.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!!!
