One more week has past and this weekend we are celebrating Pietros birthday. Yesterday we went with his friends to a restaurant where he used to work as a waiter for a grand birthday dinner. Casoela is a traditional Lombardy dish that is served with polenta. It's basically a stew cooked for a really long time so the meat falls apart and is really tender and then mixed with some vegetables. Very heavy but delicous.
The week has been pretty normal. It's been raining a lot which is never fun but other wise a good week. On Wednesday we had the second (for me) meeting with the book club. It was really nice also this time with a lot of talking about Italy and Sweden, As it should be!
Today we are going to his parents place for birthday lunch with the relatives. Today is also Pietros nephew, Micheles birthday, 5 years old. So it will be double celebration.
Ciao!
