The weekend has been nice even though I got another cold. On saturday we wnt with Pietros dad to look at the car he is thinking about buying, and after we stayed at their place for lunch. We did a fast grocery shopping before going back home to let in Carlo the electrician from across the street to help us move the TV-antenna from the entrance to the livingroom. Pietro than went to swedish class while I stayed at home relaxing. For dinner we went to Rosso Pomodoro, a Napels pizza restaurant basically around the corner. Not bad at all!
Sunday morning we took a walk to the center of Monza and to the farmacy to buy some medicin for my cold. We also checked out a café thst Claudia recommended us, called Mr C. It looked really nice and we decided to go back for "fika" another day. Walking in the cold air with my already hurting throat, did not make things better so when we came back Pietro offered to cook lunch while I took a rest. In the afternoon I was feeling better so we decied to go to visit a restaurant where Pietro used to work as a waiter about 7 or 8 years ago. The owners recognized him and we ended up staying there for a while so they could ask Pietro about China and me :) and his life now etc. Seemed like really nice, down to earth, hard working people. We will go there later to eat their famous Casöela which is a tipical dish from this area of Italy. On the way back home we stopped in Macherio to visit Pietros paternal grandmother. She is super cute and really makes an effort to not speak in dialect when I'm there so I at least have a chance to understand :) She will be 90 next year, actually the same day as my sister turnes 30.
In the evening, after dinner, we watched a german tv-series called Inga Lindström that takes place in Stockholm. It was of coursed dubbed to italian which made it even more strange. Never heard about this series in Sweden but apparently it is really popular in Germany.
Last week I borrowed an audiobook from the swedish library that I have been listening to on the computer when I am at home. Really nice instead of listening to music all the time. Today I also find out a way to listen to it on my phone. So now I can spend my commuting hours listening to books. Perfect!
