Ciao!
Today has been a very nice and different day here in Monza. At noon Pietro and I went to the park to the gathering organized by the swedish church. We met a bunch of swedish people, some living in Monza but most of them living in Milan or the areas around Milan. The only other "young" couple was Sofia (swedish) and Riccardo (italian). They were really nice and we ended up spending the rest of the time with them. They have been a couple for 11 years but only lived in the same country in the last 3 years. So almost 8 years of long distance relationship... They are definitely an inspiring couple. She is 30 years old and are looking for jobs now in Italy since she just quite the one she had and he is 34 and running his own graphic design business. We exchanges numbers with them and will for sure meet again. Super nice! I also talked some with two women that are both in the administration of SWEA Milano which is a organization for swedish women in or around Milano. They organize different events during the year and I think it will be a great way for me to come in contact with swedish people, both for leisure and work later on. I will meet one of them, Karin who lives in Monza, in the next week so she can tell me more about SWEA and also about what the swedish church do in Milano.
Yesterday I met with another of Pietros friends. His name is Paul and has origins from Lebanon but basically lived all his life in Italy. We had aperitivo with him and Giovanni that I also met last time. Both are really nice, funny, easy going guys. I´m glad to get along with his friends and even though most of them are 10 years older than me, I don´t feel the age different.
Tomorrow is the last day of holiday... then it´s going to be all about studying. Which to be honest have always been one of my strong points *nerd* :D
I´ll let you know how it goes!
Ciao!
