Ciao!
We have had such a nice weekend! It started on friday night when we met up with Claudia who we know from Nanjing but who comes from Monza. We had a nice aperitivo with her and could catch up about each others lives. Then we met up with two of Pietros friends who wanted to try a new pub in a town about 20 min from here. There was live music and we had a nice time before we had to go back to not fall aslepp there. ;)
On Saturday we had over 20 degrees and sun! Pietro and I spent half of the day relaxing in Monza park. We brought a blanket, our books and just sat on the grass for hours talking, reading and enjoying the beauty of it all. We both needed that.
On Sunday morning after breakfast we headed out for the weekly grocery shopping when our neighbours told us that they were going to Villa Reale to check when the Alpini walked passed. The Alpini are the Italian army's mountain troops. Originially they were supposed to protect Italys border in the north but has during the 20th century been involved in most big wars around the world. They had a big meeting in Monza this weekend and apparantly after the meeting they go on a march through the city. They are according to Pietro very appreciated and liked in Italy. Of course we went there to check it out before continuing to the supermarket.
After lunch we went out again to go to a small town about 1 hour from here called Crema. The reason for this little adventure was because the italian/swedish couple that opened a gelateria in Stockholm recommended us to go to Crema and try the ice cream in a gelateria there. So since they themselved make amazing ice cream we figured that the gelateria that they recommend must be incredable. And we were right! It was the most delicous ice cream I´ve ever tried. :D
Ah we also bought plants! so now the appartment looks a little bit more alive. :)
Tomorrow I have my first test in school! Wish me luck!
