Hello ....

Well, the big day's finally here. I'm just back from a day in the Olympic Park and wanted to put a quick note on. Need to catch the 0632 tomorrow for my next shift so need to get to bed.

Let's get the one slight disappointment out of the way first shall we? Despite loitering [with intent] in the Westfield Shopping Centre for half an hour before I went in, no-one else wanted to have their photo taken with me. I admit to being a little hurt by that but am coming to terms with the rejection.

That aside, it was an unbelievable and unforgettable day from beginning to end. A truly happy happy occasion, everyone smiling and a GREAT sense of excitement and anticipation. Incredible atmosphere, huge buzz. And I feel really privileged that I was there. Hopefully a bit more time tomorrow. Going to bed now. Take care Ken
