This morning at Select we had some huge sausages. It was unfortunate that I spurted some of the juice into simon's eye as a dug the fork in.
Laszlo drove us up into the hills, through villages (waving to the mayor) over very bumpy tracks.
We paused for a while whilst Laszlo picked "bear garlic" - a wild type of garlic often used in cooking here. We had a taste and it was good.
There were many intersting natural sights to be seen including a pine tit building a nest, a large skull (perhaps a cow eaten be a bear?), funghi and fantastic views over to the mountains where we could see the remains of snow. Up until recently it had been bitterly cold and still snowing apparently!
On the drive back home we stopped of at an icecream factory and indulged in some of their delicious ice cream - I had a chocolate flavoured one!
When we arrived home we sat in the garden of the pension house, in the sun. There was quite a bit of wildlife to be seen in the garden including a greater spotted woodpecker.
Laszlo dropped of a tasty picnic that we ate at the table on the balcony. There was aubergine dip - a delicacy out there made by his wife.
That evening we went for a drink in the town. Harguita is a favourite beer and costs only about 70p!
