We had an early start today - we were to meet Laszlo at 8am as we were taking part in a community river clean-up.

It was another gloriously sunny day and we drove to Odorheiu to meet everyone there. It was mainly groups of school children.

We all walked to the first designated area of the river for cleaning. It was pretty smelly but we managed to get lots of litter up. Crossing the river was tricky at times and Michael got his foot soaked! After this we walked to the next spot and Micahel got interviewed for the news again!!

We returned to the car and were given some giant choclate wafer bars to help regain our strength. We went for a cold drink and then headed back to Meresti village playing 20 questions on the way.

That afternoon we all met at Michael's house and enjoyed the garden and all the animals that lived there especially Barny, the smiling dog that lived in the barn. We watched the frogs and newts in the pond.

In the evening Michael and Simon came to have a go at milking and they gave the pigs a good back scratch. We all had a mug of fresh milk.

It was feeling stormy and cool tonight so we put on jumpers and headed back to the bar. WE drank Harguita and listened to a group of old village men singing old songs. There was a spooky moon this night but it lit our way home back up the track.
