Hi All, So...Spring break was fun! Stefan came and I showed him around Grenoble. We went to a traditiona fondue place..he doesn't like cheese which i didn't know..but, i LOVED it, to the best beaux-arts museum outside of paris..that's paintings and stuff. there was an exhibiton up by jose munoz...it was a bunch of sculptures and sketches..i liked the scupltures alot. i also took him to the bastille where we had a picnic from a local traiteur. beautiful! then i took him to nice for his bday present. it was fun! we stayed in an apartment and went to the beach. ate alot of ice cream, if ya ever go try fennochio-they have flavors like tomato basil and lavender. he took me to a korean restaurant! i missed the food so much, it was gorgeous to eat!so, now i'm back in grenoble, AIFS just got back from a weekend in Provence. beautiful lavender fields and hot pink flamingos in the marshes. white horses in the fields and perfect sand beaches. we went on a wine degustation tour, the popes castle, chambers des images..which is basically an old quarry that they put tons of slide shows of art on-beautiful and eerie. everything is so beautiful in provence. classes are starting to roll to an end as exams approach. i have a paper due on may 3rd and will make myself finish it this weekend before we leave for geneva. sara, emily and i are planning on going to paris for one or two nights to pick up emilys wedding dress and to meet up with some simpson students there for may term. paris is such a residential big city. i know sara is planning on going to auswhitz and i think alan i going to be visiting me here in grenoble. there's also a possibility of cliff jumping if it's cheap enough. hope all is going well at home and a bientot!kate
