I think this whole trip is a cultural encounter...lol. So it's been awhile and I thought everyone would love to know how their Sara is doing. Well....I'm alive for one, it's finally sunny for more than a day for two and well I can speed hike like no other. I think it should be an Olympic sport, kinda like charades The past 2 weekends I've hiked around and up to the Bastille. The Bastille is an old fortresse used by the Grenobloise for protection when their city is under attack. Its beautiful, plus it offers a great view of the whole of Grenoble and the surrounding mountains. Which I can name now. The Vercourse, The Belladone, and The Alpes. Chartreuse, an alcohol of the region comes from the Vercourse mountains. It tastes and smells like listerine.
The first weekend I went to the Bastille, Emily and Kate joined me. We rode the Telepheric up to the top, which cut about an hour out of the trip. It was nice! The telepheric or telegraphic(like I tried to tell my family) has about 8 boulles(balls) and travels continuously. Its alot of fun, plus its pretty smooth. At the top, we ventured into a gift shop where the guy behind the counter attempted to speak english with the help of his professor(the other guy working) It was hilarious and so much fun. The best part was when he tried to tell me bubblewrap. All he knew was bubbles and he said it like the fish who loves bubbles in Finding Nemo. I could barely keep from laughing out loud. It was adorable. Last weekend, I hiked almost to the Bastille myself. I got bored though and turned around and ate HaagenDaz. It was my treat for getting out of the house!! hehe. Well thats about my life. This weekend, AIFS is headed to Paris. So be prepared for some stories and then after that, its spring break and Sara's headed to Paris for a day then Limoges and Bordeaux. I'm very excited!!!
Love Always!
