Limoges is well......a city. Before I left, everyone told me that Limoges would be ugly and that I wasn't going to like it. They weren't entirely wrong, but I bet it would be prettier if it was sunny out! When I arrived in Limoges, the first thing I did was wander to the tourisme office. See I hadn't booked anything for my trip.....I was like, eh I'll do it when I get there. So thats what I did. Luckily the ladies were very nice, and they pointed me to a cheap hotel in town. They however forgot to tell me that it was on the OPPOSITE side of town. See the Gare is on the north side, the Tourisme office is on the east side, and my hotel was on the south/west side. My suitcase did a lot of wandering....I like to think its good for it:) All the restaurants I ate at served on Limoges Porcelien and I did see some posted on the sides of walls.....but unfortunately the museum I was hoping to get into was closed. Which was weird because museums here are closed on Mondays and open on Sundays....and it was sunday.....but I couldn't find the doors. :( Oh Well. There were some pretty gardens and a couple of old roman bridges, but Limoges was mostly gray. The churches, that I could get into, looked like every other church I've seen. Limgoes was interesting. Glad I went. Glad to be done though. Look for me next in Bordeaux!
