hi all, so....sara and i got back from alicante, valencia, rome, naples, and lyon on saturday afternoon...now we're back in school...which is interesting. it feels like we've been here forever..but, we really haven't. it's only been...1.5 mois..i think...hm. well, right now i'm waiting to go to class at 1:30? or...maybe at 1....i don't know. and yes, i know that's prolly a bad thing. i'm starting to forget some of my english as i've found out during the past few days we've been back. i've started speaking a mix of italien, french, and spanish. i'm glad to be back to grenoble. we got to alicante and the weather was beautiful. sandy beaches, blue water, and gorgeous coral coloured apartments. fresh air was a nice thing because grenbole is pretty polluted. then we forgot what day it was and had to book another day at the hotel..it's a good thing i've been booking everything just from looking at my planner, otherwise we may have had a problem. sara almost got ripped out of 30 euros, but we stuck around till we got the money back. then...hmm...we went to valencia..and ended up walking to the airport..that sucked. it was funny at the time, but sucked. but, we did get to eat fresh paella..no ceviche though. :)we got to rome, which is beautiful! there are so many parks and it is actually pretty clean for italy, so that was nice. we went sight seeing and saw the colesseum and such. then we hit a train for napoli and saw pompeii and a beautiful italian villa that had also been preserved and was still being worked on...that would be a dream to sponge up dust from those mosaics! :) we got back to rome, with relief, because we've found that hostels aren't so much our thing...we like cleanliness..haha. we got our flight back to lyon and got on the first bus back for grenoble. all in all, it was a good, but tiring vacation...it's nice to be back where we don't have to spend so much money! so, sorry dad! i tried! :)now sara and i have to start planning our march/april vacation..we're thinking of just going somehwere central and staying in one place for awhile and then taking day trips..but we'll see what happens. we have a cooking class on thursday night and one of the guys i live with (serge) is leaving on wed. for genva so i'm sure wed. madame will have a large meal for the send off. i can't wait to come home, but i really love the european lifestyle...or maybe i like the anonimity of it....i'll write again soon..maybe :)
