Kari goes to Lincoln, England
Happy Birthday Lydia!!!
Today was just a typical Monday. Went to the first two lectures of the day and they were nothing special - both were quite boring in fact. I read some of my homework for seminar for Tuesday after that while I waited for my group members for radio. We had a meeting at noon to talk about our project and what we were going to do in workshop on Wednesday, we also booked some studio time to work on it. I really like working with this group, they really got it together. After our meeting I went back to the atrium to read some more before my next lecture, which was cancelled, I think because no one ever showed up. Yay for me so I was done at 2 today. I walked back to my room and it was really cold. I thought of Sara in Australia and really wished that I were there. I was really focused and began reading again and also had two cups of tea while doing that - yum tea. But then I got this sudden burst of energy and it was hard to read so I had to start reading out loud. I am getting a lot done though. What a good Monday and I even got up on time this morning. Fun fun. I finally got my paper read on the BBC (British broadcast company) and then I ate some supper. I texted my friend who is in the horse riding society and she said to come on over to the library bar. I got set up to go riding on Wednesday afternoon and I am really excited about that. They were all leaving and charlotte invited me to go out for a drink with them. I went to the Scream pub with her and Sue and Tash. I think we were there for two hours. These girls are a lot of fun. They go out every Monday so that sounds like fun I am looking forward to it. There was a Baywatch foam party upstairs at Scream and the queue outside was massively long so there was no way we were going. We were walking home and saw these two guys dressed in shorts and sandals. We asked if they had been standing in the scream queue. They had for an hour and a half. I was wearing jeans, long sleeves and a jacket and was really cold. Brr...I don't know how people can stand outside wearing what they do. WOW. I was talking to them and or course they picked up right away that I had an accent. Who doesn't? and they invited me to come up and see the pool table in the one guy's kitchen. Our kitchens are really small here - and yes he really did have a pool table...it takes up most of the kitchen. I only stayed for a little bit and left when the one guy who lives in court two left so I walked with him because I live in court one. They were really nice guys. Wow - what a great Monday and I thought it was good earlier in the day and it ended even better!!!!
