Kari goes to Lincoln, England
I rolled out of bed around 12 got ready and around 2pm I headed to the train station to figure out some stuff for going to Rome and also for when Dani comes to visit. The line was massively long so I skipped it and just walked for about an hour along the river and saw of bunch of things that I hadn't seen yet so it was really cool. I walked farther than I had realized and thought I was going to be late for my thing at 4pm. I had to walk fast up steep hill but still managed to make it to the Lincoln Minster School on time. It was another fun day of working with the kids. The group of boys that I worked with the week before is so ambitious. They have all of these good ideas and are kind of intense. Chris worked with them because he knows a little more about radio and the program structure and such. I just observed but it was fascinating. Then I went and helped Laura's group. They are a good group of girls, Lizzie is clearly the leader and I think she will be the producer and Danielle, well she is just really not focused on radio and kind of hyper. I am excited to see their radio programs and how they will turn out at the end of the semester. These are really bright kids and it is going to be fun to follow them through the semester and get to know them better. After I got home I just hung out and wanted to stay at home. I applied to be an RA at MSUM next year and had that over skype. I told them they could pick the time, as I didn't have really any commitments on Friday. They picked 4:30 MN time, which translates to 10:30 here. I think it went well; it was a little weird because it was the first time I had done an interview over the phone before. I ended up not going out after that but had fun talking to Leslie back home on MSN.
