After a massive day and night yesterday I ended up sleeping most of the day - one of the reasons I dislike drinking and partying too much. At around 4pm I ate breakfast with my host Jose and then we went around to his friends house to use their shower as the part of the city where I am has no water today. After a few hours at Jose's friends house we went to the supermarket and I brought a few things so that I could cook dinner for Jose. My first look at an Argentinian supermarket and trying to make sense of the crazy exchange rate. For dinner I made Peanut Butter chicken and a fresh salad which hit the spot perfectly after a big night of drinking. It was then time for Herba mate - a very typical Argentinian drink - similar to tea, drank out of a small cup with a metal straw; giving both energy and warmth. Something typical when having Mate after dinner is to accompany it with something sweet and so Jose introduced me to Argentinian Pepas - a sweet biscuit with a cranberry type centre. In one short day I have experienced so much of Argentina and so I am incredibly excited for what the next 3 months holds.
