Our final stop with LAlit was Agra for 2 days. We arrived in the afternoon and after checking into the hotel we headed to the Itimad-Ud-Daulah or Baby Taj. This was built by the Mumtaz Mahal's grandfather and was the template for her own tomb, the Taj Mahal. On the second day in Jaipur we visited the Amber Fort where tourists can queue and ride an elephant up the winding path to the top. Before we arrived into Jaipur town we stopped at the temple complex of Galta which is also knnown as the monkey temple. We were greated by the monkey master (I know what a cool title) who told us that for 20 rupees we could buy peanuts and feed the monkeys which as with most things in India will bring you good luck. We decided against it as in the guide book it says you can get mobbed by up to 50 aggressive monkeys. We didn't stay long as there were only 2 monkey...

We arrived in Ranthambore and had the afternoon to chill in preparation for the early morning safari the following day. In the morning a 20 seater canter arrived to pick us up for the safari. There were some tourists from Denmark on board our canter that we'd met earlier in a restaurant and after chatting to them a little more learned that they were travelling round the world for 1 year as a family.
