So...

I have been thinking about staying in Siem Reap for christmas and New year. I want to spend Christmas day with my family but woud really like to spend New year in SR with friends.

New year at home for the last couple of years has been pretty rubbish with me not doing anything and here we have been talking about heading down to crueso Island.

That in itself is reason enough to stay!

So I have the additional time off required (not due back until Wednesday 8th Jan 2014) however when I went to book the flights at the weekend the costs are extorionate due to the new year holiday. Crazy expensive, in excess of $3,000. So the earliest flight I can get after 29th December is Thursday 9th January.

So I have today email KPMG to see if there is any chance I could take an extra 3 days off and not start work until Monday 13th January 2014.

I dont envisage this being allowed as I have an engagement starting that day - well technically it should have started the week before - but you dont know until you ask aye.

So just waiting to here back on that really - then I can see if I am here for New YEar.

I will stop work at TLC the begining of December which would give me a couple weeks free time. Initially I had thought about travelling a bit but I dont really have the money so.... given that I will be in Vietnam next week and crueso Island I think my travel fill will be filled for the year.

There is plenty more time in the furture to come back and I will definately be coming back!

I think what I might do with my spare time is see if I can find some temporary work most proably voluntary. There is a horse ranch not far from where I live and I might see if I can may muck out etc in exchange for a few rides?
