Stanton Warriers 31st July 2008

We had bought tickets to see Stanton Warriers for $35 at the Lake Wanaka centre. Saw lots of people we knew there. Angelena and Julia who live with Kev, The guy that always serves us our $10 lunches at Finchey's from London, Alex, Hugo, Julia from work etc we met lots of people there aswell. It started at 8.00pm - 12.00am. In the messenger it said to get there early as last time people were queuing at 9.00 after it had started. Mike and I were getting ready and as you know Mike doesnt rush so I was flapping about as usual before a big night out. We got our drink ready for the half an hour walk into town. But I decided to text James and be cheeky and ask for a lift (he wasnt going) He said no probs which was great. It was 7.45 and I was moaning that we should have been there by now as the doors opened at 7.30! We got there ....me and Mike were the first ones there! The look on his face was priceless! I just burst out laughing! But it did say in the Messenger to get there early! Anyway we went to the bar and the only mixer they sold was Red bull! b***** as we wanted an earlish night ready for the final of the Burton Open Championships at Snowpark the next day. So each drink I had was vodka and redbull! Mike had beer, the night was amazing the atmosphere, music was so uplifting everyone was jumping around, I actually climbed on the stage but was dragged down by the bouncer! We stayed right till the very end despite Mike wanting to leave early as usual, he hates the mad rush at the end of the club / event etc! My hair was drenched with sweat eughhh! But I must have burnt some calories that night! We left and saw Roy and co outside from work who were heading to Red Rock, we went with them and just shared a jug of beer and prepared for the walk home. Mike tried to get me to run but I wasnt having any of it! Needless to say I could not sleep a wink coz of all the red bull i'd drank that night and was quite hungover in the morning.
