Wanaka day 6: 5th May: Mondayoooooooh Chelsey you must be moving into my house today! Good luck Sis, i'm sure you'll love it!First we went and FINALLY bought mike some sunglasses. He got some Oakley Gascans a dark purple colour for $170 we asked for discount but they wouldnt budge. I think that is about £65 so still not bad for Oakleys! Then we conquered Mount Iron, took us 1 hour 30mins including stopping time at the top to eat our Mars Rocks! We did this instead of going for a run. Found out that Wanaka used to be called Pembroke and it changed its name in 1940. Saw some awesome views. We then went to check out Treble cone and the VERY SCARY road up there I am dreading this really really am, it looks so dangerous! Mike took some more pics of some deers and stags, (gets out everytime we see some to take a pic). We then went to Base Camp, an indoor and outdoor climbing centre, checked out the prices $35 for the big main wall including berlaying lesson and $15 for the clip & climb walls. We had some chunky chips and a coffee and then went to the Job Agency. As a result we are up at 6.30 tomorrow as we have to meet at 7.05am tomorrow to get on a coach to the vineyard about an hour away. We are there till about 5.00 - 5.30 picking grapes in the vineyards! It is supposed to be FREEZING, so we went to our house at Rimu lane to pick up some thermals! It was -5 yestereday morning. Its really cold in the morning here but at about 12.00 it gets nice and sunny (still frosty) but warm with the sun. We also got a job offer letter from the agency so we could send off for our IRD number. I think this is the equivelant to our National Insurance No. So we did this at the post office today. Okey Dokey I'm off got to have an early night for our first job tomorrow! Ahhhhhhhh! wish us luck.
