This morning the man from the anti poaching unit came into the clinic. He said that someone told him the reason for the large wound in the lower abdomen of the pushed think. Apparently when the udder us developed and full of milk for a calf, the teats are larger and are also very valuable. So they would have cut them out to sell as well. So it is likely the poachers specifically targeted the rhino with a young calf in particular. Poor Rocky (that is the name of the 3 month old calf)
