Today we had to go and cut up another elephant. Luckily it wasn't as big as the last one, we started earlier and it wasn't as far away so we weren't nearly as late back. We got back at about 8pm, then had to unload the meat and wash the buckies. So we were done by about 9. I was surprisingly clean compared to last time too. I think the people who were at this one weren't such bullies. Or maybe because I've been here for so long I'm not as fun to pick on as the new people. It was good though. Got pretty cold towards the end but I had 2 hoodies on so it wasn't so bad. And the stomach didn't pop quite so badly as last time so it smelled relatively pleasant!
Earlier today Masie the Sable was collected, so she will no longer be living here. She was very cute, and I will miss her, but not as much as some of the people who have worked close to her for a long time. It must be difficult to give up your baby. But also rewarding to know that you have raise it well and it can be released back into the wild.
