Went on a hippo run today to feed the hippos and zebra. Saw warthogs, impala, nyala, zebra, white rhino, hippos and a crocodile. We were able to hand feed the zebra grass pellets. The warthogs were funny trying to steal the food from the hippos.
This evening we had the hand raised bush babies bouncing around our room. They are due to be released soon. They kept trying to jump in the wardrobes. Such messy eaters! Had bugs wings and guts all over the room.
We went to dinner on the beast. On the way we suddenly stopped, as the driver had spotted a pangolin on the side of the road. One of the rarest things to spot in the wild. Everyone from across the game farm came to see it. We had to pick it up and take it with us because they are vulnerable to getting caught on the electric fencing used to deter snakes, as the get caught then curl up over the wire and get shocked too much. It will be released elsewhere at some point.
I laid I bed listening to the lions roaring. Quite amazing.
