Lottie's Adventures in South Africa
Had to get up early this morning (6am) as I was on duty to do the aviary. We have to feed the birds at 6.15am, 10.30am, 2pm and 4pm. It's quite nice in there, lots of different birds.
Today we went to the cheetah project. We went on a tour round, they have other animals as well as cheetahs such as wild dogs, lions, serval cats and ground hornbills. They had cheetah cubs that were adorable, and they had also bred the very rare king cheetah, which have a fur patterning caused by a recessive allele which gives them very dark stripes down their backs. I will upload a picture, they're gorgeous. There are only about 55 of them in the world, all in captivity.
