This morning's tour took us back to the Capitoline Museum. It is one of the best museums I have ever visited. It is designed perfectly for everything on display, including the ancient walls of the Temple of Jupiter, which are below the floor and include the original road. We also saw the sculpture of Marcus Aurelius, which was incredibly impressive.
We walked up to the big white building on the hill (which is pretty, but I still can't quite figure out what it's for) and got a great view of the city before heading back to the hotel for lunch. On the way back we stopped to buy some plums and then for gelato - Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Cereali were my flavors today.
I packed my suitcase as much as I could before going to class this afternoon. I had the last portion of my Italian exam, which didn't seem to go terribly, but I'll find out when I get my grade. In art history we discussed what we did during our trip and got a chance to see some paintings done by our professor.
For dinner we went to a German restaurant that everyone else from our group had been to before. We had great food and conversation and then took the bus back to the hotel, where we sat outside and listened to the music festival from the park next to us.
