We had classes again this morning and after lunch we had our last art trip to the Borghese Gallery. The collection in the museum is magnificent and includes several sculptures done by Bernini, which are so lifelike, it is hard to believe they are made of marble.
When we left the gallery, we walked through the park and then got on the train to the Pantheon. There is a gelataria there that has 140 different flavors, but, unfortunately, we couldn't find the right place and we didn't have time to look around. I had to get back to the hotel to get ready for the opera. We stopped quickly at another gelateria - chocolate and pistachio today - and then caught a bus at the Argentina station.
The bus ride back to the hotel took forever and by the time I got back to the hotel, I had less than 15 minutes to dress for the opera. I quickly showered, got dressed and did my hair before rushing downstairs and getting on the bus, where I did my makeup.
The opera was fantastic! They performed Tosca, which takes place in Rome and it was an outdoor theater at the Roman baths; I don't think we could have asked for a better backdrop.
When I got home I Skyped with my family before going to sleep. It was great to see everyone. I only wish that I could be in two places at once.
