We weren't expecting too much of our visit to Monkey Mia as we had heard that it was rather overrated. Whilst that is true and the only place to stay there is massively overcrowded it turned out ok for us. You will see in the photo album that there was a large crowd on the beach for the dolphin feeding and yet Stephen was one of only 6 chosen to hand feed one of the two dolphins who had come in to the beach that day. Stephen said the fish was very slippery and the dolphin turned its head to take the fish. Of course I was in the wrong spot for a good photo. After this we watched an interesting documentary about dolphins and then went on a wildlife cruise where we had fun but didn't see too much. The idea was to see dugong - but they are somewhat elusive at this time of year and so we just glimpsed one or two after quite a long time of searching. We did see some dolphins and turtles and Rich saw a long seasnake. We did have a very pleasant day.
