This has been the hardest week so far for me.
Mainly because i have worked alot, not lots of hours but going in most days and Adam has not had work so i have found it harder to motivate myself lol.
I have also felt a bit moody which has been out of my control! - although it hasn't been a bad week, Adam is looking after me like i did for him when he worked lots. Its lovely, he even has learnt to cook 2 dinners on his own. Such a treat to come home to dinner :)
Today i started @ 8am at Kathmandu to do pre sale. I then started at the Kebab @ 12pm. Joti was really nice this week & i have been having a good laugh, so now the kebab job is more easier i can go in and have fun. It was really quiet in the afternoon and she asked me if i wanted to leave @ 4pm. I was definately not going to say no as it was a long day. The hours were ok but its more going from one job to the other & biking to both was tiring. I figured loosing one hours pay was well worth it to get home to be with Adam.
Joti even let me take a massive chicken & falafel Kebab home so we shared that for dinner. :)
Things we have been up to in the week.
* Circus - really nice treat for a sat night! enjoyed seeing all the performers
( Mum and dad sent some money from UK So we put it towards a ticket)
* we climbed the Red Arrow mountain in the botanical gardens. It was really humid & i don't like getting hot & sweaty, but the views were good a the top.
In the summer i don't think i will leave the house
Still mega happy in Cairns - found out as well that you can only claim All your tax back if you live in one place for 6months+ because then you are classed as a resident. Otherwise its really hard to get it back. - Apparently !!
Love my jobs, customer facing roles are quite challenging- people can be moody & rude to you and you have to keep happy and be nice. So i am learning a new skill.
Being constantly happy is hard work though. I am happy most of the time but when you are in a shop you can't look moody & my chilled face is quite serious so i am constantly trying to keep looking normal happy . Hopefully it will get easier.
I also get fed up of hearing myself saying the following phrases.
kathamandu phrases:
' How you going? Do you need any help today?'
'Are you a Summit Club Member? Are you interested in joining today? When we are not in sale you will get 20% off all purchases & today you will collect points, once you have spent $500 you will receive a $20 gift voucher.'
'Would you like a paper bag today? They cost 10 cent and all proceeds go to the Red Cross.'
'Good morning Kathamandu Cairns kershia Speaking how can i help you today?' ( This one is a mouthful when you answer phone)
Kebab phrases:
'Hey what can i get for you?'
'Which sauce?'
'The standard salad is carrot, onion, tomato & lettuce. Would you like them all?'
'Cheese is $1 extra.'
