We woke up and found that we had a text message from the sharehouse to see if we could come in to discuss cleaning jobs. We didn't have to be there until 11.30 so we had a chilling morning & omelette for breakie!

When we got to the sharehouse Phil explained all about the cleanning & how it works and told us the job was ours if we wanted it.

Basically we each have to work 9 hours a week, that will pay our rent. So instead of earning cash we work for them & then are apartment is paid for. We think this is such a good way of doing it, as we only need money now for food etc.

We start Monday and have 3 hours of training before we start earning, Phil is going to show us how to do a room & we do it together & then we do one on our own & if he is pleased we start earning from the 2nd room. At the moment we have to do spring cleaning which is the whole apartments but that is only for 2 weeks. (They do spring cleaning every 8-12 weeks) it will be nice as we can work together at first but then after 2 weeks we will be on our own. We also get to use their own cars to drive to the apartments, we have to walk 5 mins from where we live to the office & they will have the car & equiptment ready for us.

Also as a bonus for working for the sharehouse we get free DVD rentals & more discount off day trips.

We are both mega happy that we start work on Monday, we never have to work weekends and our 9 hours will be split over the week between 10-2pm so we will always have our afternoons free.

Another thing about Friday - We printed off a load of CV's before we got the cleaning jobs and we went round a few places handing them in which was quite fun.

We found a makeup shop in the shopping mall & a toiletries shop that Adam can get his scrubby things from, nail clippers etc LOL.

A jam packed day but so happy we can work!
