Day off from cleaning

Got up early to watch the eclipse, waited outside at 8.45am. At first there was a rainbow - nice to look at while i waited!

At about 8.50 the sky went dark & the moon covered the sun. It only lasted for a few minutes but i was glad i got to see it.

Adam had a lay in & i went to Body Pump. Was really good, only a 45min class so people can go during their lunch break at work. I biked there and back & the weather looked as though it was getting hotter. I had a shower & we got our bikini / swim shorts on and headed out on our bikes again. We stopped off at Woolworths to get some lunchy bits.

As always whenever we get to the Esplande its sunny & hot, then as soon as we lay out towels down, get undressed & start putting suncream - the sun goes in! Its like ' here they come again trying to sunbathe & relax' We have got to the point now where we only start putting cream on if the sun stays out longer than 5 mins. We were really happy today laying on our towels eating our food & then it started raining! We moved to some benches under shelter as we were determined to stay as we had only just arrived. Its so funny as soon as it rains in Cairns everyone packs up and goes home.

We stayed out for about an hour & then went back. On the way we stopped at a tiling shop looking for work for Adam. They gave us some numbers but we haven't heard anything yet.

The day went really fast & as i forgot to defrost some meat the night before we thought we may as well go out for dinner. It was perfect timing as we wanted to go out with Yuika for dinner anyway so we invited her along. We also asked Emily the irish girl but she had already made plans. It was nice to get dressed up for a Friday night out.

We left the apartment and walked to the woolshed about 7.30pm, Yuika is a lovely girl and made us laugh so much! for dinner Adam had sweet chilli chicken & Yuika & me had korma. The curry was so spicy we were struggling, it was most definately not a korma lol. They had an American theme party on like cheer leaders and American football players. There were games & cheap punch drinks. We had some bevs, Beer for Adam & Jungle juice cocktails for the girls. Had a really nice time, hopefully Yuika did too.
