After the usual running repairs to the trailer, the Landrover and ourselves we are now ready to go back to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park to do a couple of 4x4 trails.
The first, the Nossob Eco Trail, starts Monday and lasts 4 days. This a dune drive in a remote section of the park, with basic toilet facilities at the unfenced campsites. We take in all our wood, water, fuel etc for the trip and the trip is lead by a ranger in his vehicle (he has the gun!)

The second, the Polentswa Trail, takes us over the border in to the Bostwana side of the park for 3 nights and is very remote and apparently very beautiful.
We are doing the trails with Kevin "Frogman" Smith, the US biologist we met in Royal Natal National Park, his wife Katie and their friends Jennifer and Jamie from Florida. There may be other vehicles on the trail, though the limit is 5.
We will be back in Upington on 11th October to plan the next stage of the trip.
