I'm writing this from the Penzance YHA (youth hostel). Seriously nice place. Decent kitchen. I'm ashamed to say we let them cook for us this evening. Really good food. Well, holidays are all about eating really, aren't they?
We arrived in Penzance at 3.30pm and started our ride with a 10 mile pedal to Lands End. Boy was it hard! What a shock. The wind was against us, it was up and down like a yo-yo and I've had the last week taking it easy. It'll be a good warm up for tomorrow but it was a heck of a shock. London is lovely and flat. So flat. So lovely. Who put all these pesky hills everywhere?!
It's a lit harder riding bikes fully loaded with kit. Doubles the weight of the bike. Tomorrow we head to a little place called Golant. It's about 55 miles. And again it's all winding us up for Mondays ride. 85 miles across Dartmoor. And that one really will be a killer. Very hilly and rather long. If we get through that, we should survive!
It's pretty early still, but it's almost time for bed and an early night. However, I've got to say I'm watching this pikey kid on X-Factor and he's awesome. Not sure about the shell suit but what a little legend :-))
