Tom's Day Two Notes:
The Day of Death they call it, and it nearly lived up to its name. Stress levels were extremely high as we set off from all of the horror stories we'd heard from guys coming the other way. Day One had been up-down-up-down all day, but Dartmoor was a new twist: up-up-up-and more up. Energy sapped from your quads until you had to stop or risk cramping. I particularly enjoyed the factually-named Six Mile Hill Road. And the sting in the tail? We'd half hoped that once we were out of Dartmoor it would be flat again. Nope. 88 miles today, 154 miles so far (15%). Star of the day was the delectable Polly, our own Debbie McGee (i.e. glamorous assistant), whose Beef Sarnies and Bottle Water kept us going on a sweltering day on the moors. P.S. I do want to see Dartmoor again, but when my wheels are powered by something other than my legs...

Pol Tom - thought we'd go and 'do' the Moor with leg-power, negative wheels.......
