Day 2 Golant to Exeter via Dartmoor.
Hell on two wheels. The end of Cornwall, the whole of which was a roller coaster. And Devon, which hasn't been any flatter. Dartmoor was really hard and long but actually Cornwall was worse. We were really lucky with the weather. Our only actual challenge so far has been the hills and the distance. The weather hasn't clobbered us yet.
Yesterday we had a little bit of help in the form of Polly, Tom's girlfriend. What an angel! She took a few of our heavier bits of kit like locks and shoes and kept us watered and encouraged across the moor.
We set out at 8.10am and rode exactly 80 miles. I arrived at 5.30 and Tom at around 7pm. Not bad at all. For the worst day on the ride, reputedly, getting through it at all had been the aim.
Not much else to say really. Still pretty tired. It's 7.45am right now as I write this. Thanks to all those who've sponsored. The e-mails that announce it keep trickling through and it's really fun to know that someone else has added their support, so thank you!
And keep the texts and emails coming. We may be too knackered to reply but they are all read and hugely appreciated.
Only 54 miles to Street today. And into something wonderfully named the Somerset Levels. Heaven!

Pol You're very kind Will - it was an absolute pleasure to get in the way yesterday! I'm going to be eating roast beef sarnies for the next few days though..... maybe they can be tea today.......
