Im so mad.. I just typed a huge entry and then it got deleted... I will now do my best to recreate it but my enthusiasm level has been depleted...

I want to start off by saying that its weird being in a country where 9/11 isnt a big deal. No flags at half staff and no moments of silence, but it was definitely on my mind today. Like my sixth grade t-shirt said, "We will never forget 9/11"

So I havnt posted because I really havnt had much to talk about. I probably would have just rambled on about how hard and frustrating it was to not be able to find a teaching job. But now you get to hear me ramble on about the job I did get! I got a job with an online grocer called Fields China as their copywriter. The copy tries to carry as much fresh and local produce as possible and they also have a bunch of organic stuff too. Basically I just write all of the english product descriptions, ad banners, newsletter articles, and proof read anything that other people write.

So far everyone is really laid back and nice. I was told that work hours are 9-6 and office attire is formal business attire. Since I only brought like 2 maybe business casual outfits I rushed out and bought two pairs of overpriced black dress pants. On my first day I arrived at 8:50 and had to wait like 20 minutes before anyone form my department got there. Also people were wearing jeans and t-shirts. So much for formal business attire... and that was definitely the last time that I got there at 9. But at least now I've got two pairs of nice pants...
