Day 11 - We woke late today as from 9am we could take breakfast on the terrace, which also meant we could easily take the dogs too.
Breakfast was very nice with a selection of fruit, pastries, cheese, ham and bread. They have a nice Croissant and Fruit pudding too.
After breakfast we headed to Les Jardins des Martels. The day was already warming up but we took the dogs simply to give them a walk. But half way round they were getting hot and Tawny took every opportunity to lie down in the shade and cool her fat little belly. Bless her little cottons.
The gardens are very nice and well laid out but not very large. The best display is of the lotus flowers of which there are many. The flowers are very pretty and the seed pods look weird, almost alien-like.
Afterwards we headed back to the hotel and on the way managed to capture some great pictures of a massive field of sunflowers. We then spent a lazy afternoon before dinner. The pool is lovely and catches the sun most of the day.
Dinner was lovely again. The main course was a tenderloin of pork wrapped in Parma ham. It was flavoured with thyme and had a lovely sauce. The meals on both nights have been really good.
Tonight is our last night here which is a shame as we could easily have spent more time here. Tomorrow we move onto the Cantal area, famed for its Cantal cheese.
