Very jetlagged we took the tube for the first time in 21 years into Central London. We were so excited (at least I was beside myself!) to be back London. We were quite overawed by the number of people out and about on Sunday afternoon in the city-it felt very touristy and there were few locals about! Preparations for the games were clearly very much underway in terms of the signs and maintenance around the city. If this day is anything to go by London during the games will be a challenge!!

Shelly Oh my goodness. I'm soooo jealous. I love London. On the day I arrived in London on my last visit I joined thousands of others in Trafalgar Square as the announcement was made that London had secured the 2012 Olympic Games. There was so much celebration and excitement on that day - but the actual Olympics themselves seemed like such a long time away..... and there you are now. That feels strange for me. Hope you're having a superb trip.
